LEWISTON, Idaho – Long Beach, Calif., native MaCarhy Morris has signed to be part of the LC State Men's Basketball family next fall. Head Coach Austin Johnson announced the signing of the point guard on Friday.

Morris is a senior at Lakewood High School and is averaging 20 points, six rebounds and five assists per game. He helped the team to a league title and State appearance as a sophomore. During his career, Morris has been voted the league Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Moore league.

"I chose LC because they treat their players and program like family," Morris said. "Loyalty and respect are things that go a long way in the program and that is important to me. I also believe LC is the right place for me to develop as a point guard and competitor to meet my individual and team goals in the next few years."

"We are thrilled about MaCarhy joining our program next fall," Johnson said. "We wanted to add a high school point guard that fits our style of play both offensively and defensively. MaCarhy has a great burst that will hopefully make us a better transition team and complement our defensive approach in the half court. MaCarhy has also shown a high IQ and feel for the game that truly makes those around him better. I am excited he chose LC and look forward to being on the journey of development with him."
