CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The (RV) Lewis-Clark State Men's Tennis swept the doubles portion for the second straight day but fell to (RV) Campbellsville (Ky.) 4-3. The LC women lost to No. 19 Campbellsville 6-1.

The losses dropped both teams to 0-2 on the road trip. The men have dropped five straight contests and sit at 6-11 while the women have lost three straight and drop back to 10-10.

"The men and women are being given the opportunity to use their mental toughness," assistant coach Ryan LaPlante said. "Playing outdoors, the weather, lack of sleep, long drives with a new hotel every evening. These are things that can get to players. Most are showing toughness, but we still have a way to go." 

MEN: (RV) Campbellsville (Ky.) def. (RV) LC State 4-3
Dan Felker and Maksim Matyrnyi teamed up to earn another No. 1 doubles victory, this time over Nicolas Andrede and Nahuel Hernando 6-3. Declan Townsend and Cade Edwards earned a victory in No. 2 doubles and Itaru Kikuchi and Daniel Tevez won in No. 3 doubles.

Felker also earned a win in No. 1 singles over Maximiliano Roman 7-5, 6-1. Edwards earned a victory as well, taking down Nicolas Andrade in No. 3 singles 6-3, 6-4.

Kikuchi won a second-set tiebreaker, but fell to Nahuel Hernando in the third and decisive set to lose 6-1, 6-7, 6-3. Matyrnyi also pushed his match in No. 6 singles to three sets before losing 4-6, 7-6, 6-2.

WOMEN: No. 19 Campbellsville (Ky.) def. LC State 6-1
Yelena Kim earned a hard fought three-set victory in No. 1 singles over Ariadna Perez 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Heidi Moyo and Catherine Khardina earned a No. 2 doubles win in back-to-back contests with a 6-1 win over Blaeke Mitchell and Candela Converti.

Moyo lost in three sets in No. 3 singles to Angela Mendoza 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
