NAIA BASEBALL TOP 25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lewis-Clark State Baseball fell just one spot between the preseason poll and the first poll of the season on Wednesday. The Warriors checked in that No. 3 in the NAIA after starting the season with a 15-3 record.
LC State has only dropped contests to teams receiving votes in the national poll. The Warriors fell to No. 1 Southeastern (Fla.) and then-No. 8 St. Thomas (Fla.) to open the season. LC dropped one to then-receiving votes UBC.
The Warriors have won nine straight with sweeps of College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon while scoring at least nine runs in all eight contests.
LC is seventh in the NAIA in doubles so far this season with 48. The Warriors lead the Cascade Conference in nearly every offensive category including batting average (.315), slugging (.539) and on-base percentage (.435).
Individually, Nick Seamons leads the CCC in slugging (.815) and home runs (6), Pu'ukani De Sa is at the top in hits (30), and Isaiah Thomas leads in runs scored (26). The trio are tied for the conference lead in doubles with seven each.
