Warriors Get Win Over Bethel in Friday Split

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The (RV) Lewis-Clark State Men's Tennis team split a pair of matches to conclude its road trip to the Lone Star state on Friday.
 
The Warriors defeated Bethel (Kan.) 4-1 before falling to No. 23 Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) 7-0. The two results pushed their record to 9-7 on the season.
 
MATCH ONE: (RV) LC State 4, Bethel (Kan.) 1
LC State was able to earn the point in doubles with No. 2 and No. 3 doubles earning victories. The Warriors won three of the four singles contests that reached a conclusion en route to the victory.
 
Austin Swing and Nell Rollin teamed up to take the No. 2 doubles match against Petr Kollar and Tomas Quercia 7-5. Daniel Tevez and Rafael Bonnet de Larbogne took No. 3 doubles with a 6-4 win.
 
Itaru Kikuchi won in No. 2 singles against Michael Cheh 6-3, 6-2. Bonnet de Larbogne took the victory in No. 3 singles 6-1, 7-5. Daniel Tevez was the victor in No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-4 over Jonah Bergeron.

MATCH TWO: No. 23 Our Lady of the Lake def. (RV) LC State 7-0
In a match that was pushed up a day due to impending weather, the Warriors were unable to earn a point against No. 23 Our Lady of the Lake.
 
Rollin and Swing played a competitive match in No. 2 doubles in a loss to David Daniel and Michael Canales.
 
Swing was able to push the second set in his No. 4 singles contest with Johan Favelin into a tiebreaker before falling 6-1, 7-6. Rollin also took the loss after a second-set tiebreaker in No. 5 singles.
