Arizona Christian Upends LC State Baseball in Opening Round

TOURNAMENT CENTRAL 

LEWISTON, Idaho – Arizona Christian controlled the contest from start to finish on Tuesday with an 11-0 victory over LC State. The No. 3 seed in the Lewiston bracket of the NAIA Opening Round, presented by Avista, defeated the top-seeded Warriors behind a complete-game shutout by Adrian Santa Cruz. 

The Warriors face the winner of British Columbia and Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. 

The Firestorm started with five runs in the third inning and added a pair in the fourth and four in the fifth. LC State tallied three hits in the contest with singles by Carter Booth and Brandon Cabrera and a double by Nick Seamons. 

UP NEXT 

LC State will play to stay alive on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. The contest will be live streamed and have live stats. Coverage will be carried on KOZE in the LC Valley and on KOZE.com.
