LEWISTON, Idaho – Incoming freshman Peyton Knowles will join Lewis-Clark State Men's Basketball this fall as a member of the 2024-25 squad. The 6-6 forward graduated high school in 2022 and spent the last two years serving on a church mission in Guatemala.

"I'm super excited to be at LC," Knowles said. "I chose this place for its amazing basketball program and outstanding Exercise Science department. This is a great opportunity to grow and become better. Excited to work to positively contribute to the team and school community."

The Logan, Utah, native prepped at Ridgeline High School where he finished his career as the Riverhawks' all-time leader in rebounds and blocks. Knowles averaged 14.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per game as a senior with a .570 field goal percentage. He ranks fourth in career points and assists, and third in steals.

"Grateful to have Peyton joining our program," Head Coach Austin Johnson said. "We recruited Peyton hard in high school and stayed in contact throughout his mission. Peyton is a high motor forward with a very high ceiling. His toughness and feel for the game really drew us to him. As he gets acclimated to being back on the court, we are excited to see him progress towards his potential. Peyton was well coached in high school by Kyle Day which helped instill a winning foundation that values the important intangibles that go into being an elite competitor and great teammate."

Knowles helped the Riverhawks to three regional titles and was voted First-Team All-Region 11, the Region 11 MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. He was named All-State twice. Knowles also played football and helped propel Ridgeline to a State title.
