KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Alton Hamilton, the reigning Cascade Conference Freshman of the Year, is only getting better and the nation has taken notice. The sophomore was named to Small College Basketball's Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List on Wednesday.

Austin Johnson said. "He has very much earned it with is play so far this season. He has put in a ton of work to grow his game and competitive outlook. The best thing about Alton remains who he is as a leader and teammate. I am excited for what's ahead for him."
Hamilton, a 6-8 forward from Fontana, Calif., is second in the CCC in scoring with 17.7 points per game and leads in rebounding with 9.3 rebounds per contest. He is second in blocked shots per game (1.0). He notched his eighth 20-point game of the season on Saturday against Corban (Ore.) and has scored as many as 28 points in a game this year.
With two CCC Player of the Week honors under his belt so far this season, Hamilton is shooting 52.9% from the floor and has converted 73 of his 89 free throw attempts for an 82% mark at the foul line. He expanded his game beyond the 3-point line this season and is shooting 42.9%.
Defensively, Hamilton has grabbed 140 rebounds with 46 being offensive. He leads the team and is second in the CCC in total blocks with 15. He has filled the stat sheet with 33 assists and 12 steals so far this season.
Hamilton is one of three CCC student-athletes on list and joins Jamison Guerra (Oregon Tech) and Samaje Morgan (College of Idaho).
