SPOKANE, Wash. – Warrior Women's Track and Field battled the rainy conditions at both the Oregon Preview in Eugene and the Bucs Scoring and Multi in Spokane on Friday.
OREGON PREVIEW - Results
Sydnie Zywina saw her first outdoor action of the season at the Oregon Preview where she placed third in the triple jump. She cleared a distance of 11.69m while battling the wet competition surface.
Grace Tiegs placed 47
th in the competitive 1,500m field. She crossed the finish line with a time of 4:44.81.
Both are in action on Saturday as well.
BUCS SCORING & MULTI - Results
Sophomore
Karissa Lindner won in sprints and was just shy of personal bests in both. She was first overall in the 100m with a time of 12.45 and in the 200m with a time of 25.73.
Grace McCormick was in action in a pair of mid-distance events. The senior was 13
th in the 800m (2:38.67) and 18
th in the 1,500m (5:21.80).
Haylee Appleford led the Warrior women in throwing events. The sophomore was seventh in the shot put (11.83m) with
Hope Zollman in 12
th (9.80m).
Faith Wersland threw a season-best distance of 9.70m to finish 14
th and
Jacklin Linnemeyer was 17
th (8.87m). Appleford was the top LC State finisher in the discus in 13
th (32.98m).
Grace Osborne was 14
th (32.23m) and Zollman was 15
th (31.95m).
