CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Warriors excelled last week and a pair of LC State student-athletes were rewarded with their second Cascade Conference weekly honors of the season. Alex Navarro was tabbed the CCC Men’s Golfer of the Week and Griffen Parsells was voted the CCC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for the week of Apr. 7-13, 2025. 

GRIFFEN PARSELLS – MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Parsells ran the third fastest 800m in the NAIA this season with his B standard time of 1:50.71. The time is the third fastest in school history and earned him a second-place finish at the meet.

This is the second weekly honor for Parsells this season.

LC State Track and Field is in Spokane on Thursday at the Whitworth Twilight, and a pair of Warriors will be in action at the Cascade Conference Multi Championships Apr. 17-18 in Klamath Falls, Ore.

ALEX NAVARRO – MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Navarro won his second straight tournament and helped the Warriors tie for first at the SOU Spring Classic. The senior shot rounds of 69-66-74 to finish 7-under, 209. His round of 66 was the lowest of the tournament.

This is the second weekly award of the season for Navarro. 

The Warriors compete at the 2025 Cascade Conference Championships in Portland Apr. 21-23.
