LEWISTON, Idaho – No. 12 LC State Women's Cross Country put together a stellar race to close out the regular season at the 2026 LC State Invitational in the Lewiston Orchards. The Warrior women were the top NAIA team and had the top two NAIA individual finishers, led by Damaris Kibiwot's career-best 5k.

LC State totaled 115 points to edge No. 19 Eastern Oregon by nine points. Kibiwot ran the fifth best time ever by a Warrior and third best by a junior to finish eighth overall (17:36).

"We raced pretty well, even though I think we still can race even better," coach Dr. Michael Collins said. "One thing I don't think they realize, and I didn't know until after the race, was that our team time today is actually faster than what we ran back in 2023 when we finished 11th at nationals."

The top four Warrior women each ran a personal-best 5k time. Aubree Williams was the second LC State runner across the line, and second from the NAIA, with a time of 17:54 to take 13^th, and Kelsey Plymale was not far behind in 21^st (18:08).

Junior Hannah Berdan's career-best time of 18:31 earned her a 35^th-place finish and Eva Lundgren rounded out the top five in 54^th (19:12).

"Damaris and Aubree had a great day today, and so did Hannah," Collins added. "Really, really pleased with their performances. Kelsey had a good day, struggled a little bit, but she's capable of much more, so when she's in the groove, we're going to get that much better. Along with Eva, the group is moving along really, really well."

Freshman Zion Boyd ran the best 5k of her young career with a time of 19:25 to place 62^nd. Lilly Gilbert was 76^th (20:06), Morgan Myers was 94^th (23:12) and Leila Flannery was 98^th (25:55).
