No. 25 LC State Men’s Tennis Falls at Portland State

PORTLAND, Ore. – The 25th-ranked LC State Men's Tennis team closed out its weekend on the road with a 7-0 loss to NCAA Division I Portland State. The Warriors earned a win in doubles to highlight the day.
 
Gautam Balakrishnan and Giacomo Moreira combined for a 6-3 win in No. 3 doubles, but Portland State took the top two matches to earn the doubles point.
 
The Vikings took five matches in straight sets, Nell Rollin pushed his No. 1 singles match to three sets after a 7-5 win in set two, but fell 6-2, 5-7, 10-8. Louam Boivin pushed his second set to a tiebreak before losing 6-2, 7-6(4) in the second singles match.
 
Leonel Gatti won seven games in his 6-4, 6-3 loss in the No. 4 singles match.
 
UP NEXT
The Warriors return to NAIA action with a trip to New Orleans Mar. 5-7. LC State will face No. 9 Xavier (La.), No. 24 Loyola (La.) and Mobile (Ala.) on the trip.
