LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Men's Tennis, receiving votes in the national poll, picked up a singles win in a 6-1 loss to NCAA Division I opponent Montana on Saturday in the final home match of the season.
The Grizzlies jumped out to an early lead over the Warriors with a win in all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. Sophomore duo
Cesar Coloma and
Louam Boivin had the closest match with a 7-5 loss in the second slot.
The highlight of the day for the Warriors came in No. 4 singles.
Rafael Bonnet de Larbogne earned a win in his match when he stormed past his opponent 6-4, 6-1.
In No. 3 singles, junior
Nell Rollin started off the match with a win in the first set 7-6(7-5). His opponent answered with scores of 6-2, 6-0 in the second and third sets, respectively, to defeat Rollin.
Coloma played his opponent hard in No. 5 singles, but fell 6-3, 6-3.
UP NEXT
The Warrior men take a road trip to Indiana Apr. 2-4 to face off against three NAIA opponents to close the regular season.
