GLENDALE, Ariz. – Louam Boivin was voted to the GSAC Men's Tennis All-Conference team, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
"Louam, as a newcomer, has made a mark in the NAIA tennis circle as a fearless competitor," coach Kai Fong said. "He will compete against anyone, anywhere in any condition. It is a nice honor for him to be selected to the all-conference team. He represents a lot of the core values of the program."
Boivin earned five singles wins this season. He picked up two wins in the No. 2 slot and another two in No. 3 singles. He earned his most impressive victory of the season with a two-set win over an opponent from NCAA Division I Idaho. In doubles, he teamed up with
Cesar Coloma for a 6-3 No. 3 doubles win over DI North Dakota.
The New Caledonia native transferred to LC State from Lawrence Tech (Mich.) and made an immediate impact for the Warriors as a constant in the top part of the lineup.
