CORVALLIS, Ore. – Lewis-Clark State Athletics earned Cascade Collegiate Conference Presidents' Cup Academic Excellence status for the sixth consecutive school year, announced by the CCC on Wednesday. The Warriors have earned the honor in every year as a member of the conference.
To receive the designation, a department must achieve an overall combined GPA of 3.0 or better among its student-athletes that compete in sports in which the CCC declares a champion in and have at least 60% of student-athletes who are eligible to receive Academic All-Cascade Conference recognition do so.
"The Presidents' Cup honors the tremendous commitment to academic excellence of our student-athletes here at LC State," Athletic Director
Jim Klemann said. "Our Warrior programs continue to exemplify what it means to champion a true STUDENT-athlete experience, and we are very proud to celebrate this accomplishment as an athletic department and institution."
LC State led all of the Cascade Conference full-time member institutions with 79% of eligible student-athletes earning Academic All-Cascade Conference honors. Women's golf and men's basketball had 100% of their eligible players earn the honor in 2025-26. To be eligible for Academic All-CCC, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing, have attended their institution for at least one full year and maintain a 3.2 GPA.
The Warriors compete in the CCC in volleyball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's golf, men's and women's basketball, baseball and men's and women's track and field. The programs together combined for a 3.45 grade point average in the 2025-26 school year which ranks fourth in the conference.
