KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jordan Lennartson proved himself to be one of the best relief pitchers in the NAIA this season and was rewarded with Third-Team All-America honors, announced on Thursday.
The junior right-handed reliever from Scottsdale, Ariz., made 13 appearances out of the bullpen for the Warriors and earned a team-best six saves. Lennartson, a transfer from Umpqua CC, had a 2-0 record with a 1.06 ERA.
He was second in the NAIA in WHIP (.85) among pitchers with at least 20 innings pitched. He tossed 34 innings with just nine walks and 20 hits allowed. Lennartson struck out 31 batters during the season for 8.21 strikeouts per nine innings.
Lennartson was voted First-Team All-Cascade Conference in his first season at LC State.
