LE MARS, Iowa – No. 20 LC State Men's Golf finished in 13th place at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational, held at Willow Creek Golf Club, on Tuesday. Andrea Artusini was the top finisher for the Warriors in a tie for 14^th. Luke West highlighted the day with the lone under-par round of LC State.
 
"Pretty big let down this week. On a course that is full of scoring opportunities, we rarely took advantage of it," coach Zach Anderson said. "Lots to break down, but we'll regroup and see what needs to change to get back on track."
 
Artusini led the way for the Warriors at the second tournament of the season. The sophomore shot 1-over, 72 in round three to finish in a three-way tie for 14th place at 5-under.
 
Lucas Ortega matched Artusini with a 1-over, 72 in round three. The junior finished in a tie for 38th place at 1-over-par.
 
Senior West shot 1-under, 70, through his final 18 holes to move him into 61st place at 8-over overall. Hunter Millsap shot 5-over and finished in 67th place at 15-over.
 
Freshman Archie Jones finished in a tie for 69th place at 17-over. He carded a round of 8-over, 79.
