CORVALLIS, Ore. – No. 21 LC State Women's Cross Country was named the Cascade Conference Under Armour Team of the Week after a dominant performance on Friday on Friday. The Warrior women won the Lewis & Clark XC Opener and earned the top three individual spots to secure the victory in the 5k.
LC State had four runners finish in the top 10, led by
Damaris Kibiwot in first (18:09.8),
Kelsey Plymale in second (18:12.0) and
Aubree Williams in third (18:21.1).
Eva Lundgren earned an eighth-place finish (19:07.3).
Seven Warriors were in the top 15 with
Leila Flannery in 12
th (19:11.3),
Hannah Berdan in 14
th (19:26.0) and
Zion Boyd in 15
th (19:33.7). Plymale, Williams, Lundgren, Flannery and Berdan each ran a personal best time at the distance.
LC State earned 26 points in the race to edge NCAA Division I Portland State by four points.
