Allen Balmer

A Lewiston native, Allen Balmer enters his 18th season as an assistant coach and first season as the program's Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Lewis-Clark State College in the 2026 season. He works primarily with position players and is instrumental in both infielder and hitter instruction. He has led recruiting efforts for the Warriors since 2013. During those years the Warriors have seen 17 players drafted and more sign professional contracts, with Seth Brown making is MLB debut in 2019. With Balmer on staff, the Warriors have seen much success on the field winning three NAIA National Championships. Many of the players also have had great success with 18 of them earning All-American awards.

Balmer played four seasons with the Warriors from 2002-06 and enjoyed tremendous success. He started all four seasons at third base and helped the Warriors capture two national titles, including the championship in the 50th Annual Avista NAIA World Series at Lewiston during his senior year in 2006. He earned the tournament’s MVP award after collecting 12 hits, scoring six runs and driving in seven during a five-game stretch. Balmer went on to sign a free agent contract with the San Francisco Giants and played for one year. Overall at LCSC, Balmer recorded 245 hits, established a batting average of .341 and averaged less than 12 errors a season. During his senior year, he hit .377 with a team-leading seven home runs during the regular season. Balmer is a second-generation Warrior baseball player. His father, Gary, was a standout for the Warriors in the early 1980s.

Balmer and his wife, Jenny, live in Lewiston with their children: Brody, Avery, Reese Lynn and Cole.
