2016: Son of former M’s great Jay Buhner had an outstanding year…Won the Avista NAIA World Series Golden Glove Award for his defense at second base in the Series…Hit .254 in 51 games (43-of-169) with 15 doubles, four home runs and 38 runs driven in…Had a big two-run double in the championship game of the Series…Had season high of four RBI against Simpson with two-run home run and two-run double…Finished with a .971 field percentage and helped turn a team-high 33 double plays.
 
COLLEGE: Appeared in 43 games at Columbia Basin College in 2015, hitting .313 with 51 hits in 163 at-bats…Drove in 26 runs, scoring 29 with nine doubles, one triple and 14 walks…Stole three bases and fielded .917 with 64 putouts and 101 assists on 42 chances as a utility fielder…Played 49 games for Abilene Christian hitting .240 with 41 hits in 171 at-bats with 17 RBI and 20 runs scored.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Mount Si High School in 2013. ... Buhner played two years at Eastside before transferring to Mount Si, which went 20-4 in 2013 en route to a 3A King County Championship and fifth-place showing at the state tournament. ... Buhner hit over .350 in summer 2012 between stints with the Kansas City Royals Area Code team and the O'Brien Auto Group 18U squad.
