2013: Batted .351 with a homer and 26 RBI in 42 games (33 starts) for the Warriors…Went 10-for-19 (.526) with six runs scored in five games in the 2013 Avista-NAIA World Series, including 4-for-4 with a run scored in the final game vs. Faulkner…Also had three hits in Series win over Northwood…Was named to the All-Tournament team…Went 2-for-3 with a homer a four RBI in LCSC’s win over NCAA Division III top-ranked Linfield…A .344 career hitter at LCSC…Has gone 16-for-39 (.410) for his career in the World Series…Named Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athlete.
2012: Mainstay in the Warrior outfield hit .355 (third on club) with 49 games…Tied for third on team with four homers and drove in 32 runs…Made just one error in the outfield…Went 4-for-12 with two runs scored in LCSC’s three NAIA World Series games…Homered in first two games of season…Went 4-for-5 with two RBI, two runs scored and a triple against Western Oregon on Feb. 17...Two other three-hit games.
2011: Made a big impact as a freshman when outfield depth became an issue...Started 27 of the 37 games he played in and hit .317, which was sixth on the team...Went 33-of-104 with six doubles and 10 home runs...Was solid in the field as he did not make an error...Saw action in both left and right field, but mainly used in left...In a 2-1 loss to Oklahoma City in the NAIA World Series, he went 2-for-3 and drove in the Warriors’ lone run...Saw most of his action against right-handed pitching where he hit .313...Was consistent throughout the year, hitting .317 with runners on and .318 with the bases empty...Went 3-for-6 in a pinch-hitting role to lead the team...Hit .353 with runners in scoring position.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Lewiston High School, playing point guard in basketball and third base and pitcher in baseball…Won IEL third baseman of the year junior and senior years…Co-MVP senior year…Offensive player of the year 2009-10…2010 merit award winner…3.72 cumulative GPA…Josh Burton Memorial Scholarship award winner.
PERSONAL: Born April 17, 1992 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Kent and Sandra Knigge…Brothers Cameron, Tyler and Kasey…Father Kent (1985) played baseball at LCSC…Mother Sandra (1986) also a LCSC graduate…Brother Tyler played baseball for the Warriors and is now in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system…Twin brother Kasey now a Warrior senior…Hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, fishing and camping.
