Caelyn Orlandi was hired as the eighth head coach in program history on May of 2023. She will begin her third season at the helm in 2025-26 after serving six seasons on the LC State coaching staff, and three as the Associate Head Coach. She was named the WBCA NAIA Assistant Coach of the Year in 2023.
Orlandi guided the program to another national tournament appearance in 2024-25 after a runner-up finish in the CCC tournament. The Warrior women traveled to Sioux City, Iowa, and defeated Columbia (Mo.) in the NAIA First Round before falling to Briar Cliff (Iowa) in the Second Round. The team finished with an overall record of 26-7 and was 17-5 in conference play.
In her first year leading the Warrior women, Orlandi led LC State to a 26-6 record and 19-3 CCC mark. The team hosted the NAIA First and Second Rounds and fell to Jamestown (N.D.) in the Second Round contest. Orlandi played a large role in the development of standout guard Callie Stevens who became the first women's basketball player to be named the Cascade Conference Player of the Year three times. She became Orlandi's first All-American and the program's first CSC Academic All-American.
Â
During her first three season as an assistant coach, the Warriors have had winning seasons and two seasons with at least 20 wins. During the 2019-2020 season, the Warriors played in the Frontier Conference Tournament Championship after making semi-final appearances in the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons. The Warriors won their first-ever Cascade Conference Championship after defeating the College of Idaho for an automatic birth to the national tournament.
Â
Orlandi helped guide the Warriors to a National Quarterfinal finish in the 2018-2019 season at the National Tournament. LC earned an at-large bid as a No. 6 seed for the 2019-2020 season as well, but due to the Coronavirus the tournament was cancelled.Â
During the 2021-2022 season, the Warriors hosted an NAIA Opening Round and defeated William Jessup (73-44) and No. 6 Carroll College (76-67) to advance to the NAIA Round of 16 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Â
With Orlandi’s assistance, the Warrior women have earned numerous postseason awards including eight All-Frontier Conference selections and seven All-Americans. During their first season in the Cascade Conference, the Warrior women brought home five All-Cascade Conference selections, Defensive Player of the Year and the Conference Player of the Year awards.

Â
She was a First-Team All-Frontier Conference selection and a Second-Team All-American as a junior, and a second-team all-league performer as a sophomore. A Coeur d’Alene High product, she was the conference’s Freshman of the Year in her first season at LCSC.
