George Laughlin

George Laughlin enters his fifth year as the Director of Facilities at LC State in 2025-26. He joined the Lewis-Clark State College volleyball coaching staff prior to the 2018 season and spent three years with the team. The Warrior women broke into the top 25 for the first time since 2016 with a No. 24 showing in the Nov. 5, 2019 rankings. Laughlin helped the Warriors post numerous individual accolades including Frontier Conference Newcomer of the Year, an all-freshman team selection, NAIA and ACVA All-American and numerous All-Frontier Conference and Cascade honors. He helped improve the team GPA from a sub-3.0 to a 3.24 in his first year.

Laughlin is a 2008 graduate of the University of Wyoming in Architectural Engineering. Previous to coming to LC, Laughlin worked with middle school students as a Special Education Para-Professional. In addition to his background in education, he has also been involved with coaching multiple sports at various levels including wrestling and baseball. During his first season as an assistant wrestling coach in 2015, Laughlin helped Rocky Mountain High School (Wyoming) to a fourth-place finish at the state wrestling tournament, their first team placement in over 10 years. The following season the Griz finished a highest-ever second. Laughlin also served as assistant coach for the American Legion Baseball team, the Powell Pioneers in 2016. In 2017, he was promoted to head coach for one season before making the move to LCSC.

Laughlin likes to golf and fish in his spare time, and enjoys cooking on his smoker.
