Ross Rehberg

  • Title
    Second Assistant
Ross Rehberg earned a Bachelor’s of Science in kinesiology, with an emphasis in exercise science, from Lewis-Clark State College in 2018. During his time at LCSC, Rehberg has made his presence known throughout campus thanks to his involvement in residence life, student activities, and Warrior Athletics.  Rehberg was part of the residence life staff for three years as a resident assistant, and upon graduating was awarded the Associated Students of Lewis-Clark State College (ASLCSC) Student Involvement Award for outstanding commitment, involvement, and participation as a student.

Most recently, Rehberg completed his internship as a student assistant coach with current head coach Shaun Pohlman and upon his completion, Pohlman asked Rehberg to help him build the Warrior Volleyball program as the second assistant coach.

“There are some aspects that are more important within our process than knowledge and experience,” Pohlman said, “Although, since Ross spent an entire semester with our team and in our program learning our approach, it isn’t going to take much longer to catch him completely up to speed.  It’s Ross’ loyalty, commitment and appreciation I admire most, and he’s someone worth investing time and energy into as a person and as a professional.  I am not only excited to have him join the program, but to also see where he takes his experience in his coaching career.”

Putting his intangibles on display, Rehberg added, “After taking some time to think about the offer, I came to realize that this is an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up.  I get to do something I’m passionate about at a place I love.  Not everyone can say they get an opportunity like this right out of college.”

Rehberg’s affinity for Warrior Volleyball began during his freshman year when he was asked to practice with the women’s volleyball.  Rehberg was later offered a Team Manager position and held that role from 2015-2017.  Though Rehberg never played on a competitive volleyball team he traveled to Washington State University and the University of Idaho to scrimmage with their Club Men’s Volleyball teams as a libero outside hitter.

Before LCSC, Rehberg graduated from Boise’s Centennial High School in 2014.  While there he played varsity ultimate frisbee all four years.  He was team captain for three years and was selected as Idaho First Team All-State during the 2012, 2013, and 2014 seasons.
