LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College's volleyball team survived a wild Wednesday challenge from Whitworth University at the Activity Center.
The Warriors (8-13 overall) won the first set 25-23 before falling 35-33 in an epic second set. They came out after the break to win the final two 25-23, 25-23 in their last non-conference match of the season.

Rachel Gregg and
Lauren West in helping the Warriors battle through the rough patches.
"It went in waves for sure," said Harris-Alexander in reference to neither team ever taking a firm grasp of the momentum. "We when had a kill. They had a kill. When they had an error, we had an error."
Cota Culp hit an outstanding .619 and recorded 14 kills to go with nine blocks and two digs, while Gregg led LCSC with 17 kills off a .333 hitting percentage. She also had 16 digs and two service aces, while West had 47 assists and 13 digs.
"We utilized her more than we have in the past," Harris-Alexander said of Cota Culp. "Rachel is always consistent and Lauren just did an outstanding job."
The Warriors return to action Saturday at Western Montana before wrapping up Frontier Conference and regular-season action Nov. 2 and Nov. 4 at the Activity Center.
