INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – The LCSC men's tennis team saw their hopes of making it back to the NAIA National Championships fall on Wednesday as the Warriors dropped the semifinal match of the Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament to No. 7 Arizona Christian 5-1.
 
The Warriors end their season with a 2-12 record. The Firestorm advance to the championship match on Thursday against Westmont, who knocked off San Diego Christian in the other semifinal match.
 
ACU grabbed two of the three doubles matches for the 2-1 lead in the match. Jeff Su and Ignacio Salom won at No. 1 Doubles 8-6. Roberto Salazar and Tony Chin fell in No. 2 Doubles 8-1 before the No. 3 Doubles partners Yonas Woldetsadik and Daniel de Lorenzo fell 8-3.
 
The Firestorm grabbed quick wins at No. 6 and No. 1 Singles before Tony Chin fell at No. 5 Singles 6-1, 6-3 as ACU clinched the match.
