Box Score LEWISTON, Idaho – Rian Bassett threw five scoreless innings and
Tyler Burch earned his first save of the season as the LCSC baseball team shutout College of Idaho 4-0 to sweep the 4-game series.
In his five innings, Bassett allowed just two hits with a strikeout and walking four.
Daulton Blackwell threw two innings of relief before Burch struck out four in the seven batters he faced.
With the win, the Warriors improve to 31-12 overall and 18-7 in the NAIA West. They also improved their season-best win-streak to 12 games. The Yotes fall to 19-25 on the season and 12-15 in conference.
Reigning NAIA West Player of the Week JJ Robinson singled home
Seaver Whalen in the bottom of the first to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. Whalen later hit a sac fly in the fifth to increase their lead to 2-0.
A fielding error scored
Raymond Pedrina and
Cooper Goldby doubled to left in the eighth top end all scoring.
Hayden Meier and Pedrina led the team with two hits apiece.
The Warriors hit the road next weekend and face Corban in a 5-game series. LCSC will continue their halted game back on March 26. LC was winning 4-0 heading into the top of the third.
