Box Score FULLERTON, Calif. - The Lewis-Clark State Warriors won their first set of their match against #25 College of Idaho but couldn't sustain the momentum in falling 1-3 to their in-state rival.
The Warriors prevailed in an epic 29-27 battle in the first set before struggling in a 25-13 loss in the second. They fell behind early in the third set only to drop the set 25-22 - the same score that was recorded in the fourth set.
Aubrey King had 17 kills for the Warriors and
Rachel Gregg had 13 kills and 13 digs.
Luana Thompson added another 19 digs with
Lauren West providing 44 assists and
Maya Williamson recording five blocks.
LCSC fell to 0-4 with the loss, while College of Idaho remained undefeated at 4-0 after the season-opening Hope/Vanguard Summer Slam Tournament.
The Warriors remain in California for a 7 p.m. match at The Masters Saturday night.
