LEWISTON, Idaho – Montana State-Northern connected on four free throws in the final 14 seconds to upset Lewis-Clark State College in Frontier Conference women's basketball action at the Activity Center Saturday evening.

"It's extremely disappointing," said coach
Brian Orr after the Warriors dropped to 15-10 overall, 6-8 in conference play as the Skylights (10-16, 2-12) won just their second league game this winter. "That was my biggest fear. They had nothing to lose."

Throughout the game, the Warriors struggled to find their offensive rhythm and in the second half they compounded that with inconsistencies defensively.

"We had a couple of defensive possessions where they ended up getting second and third shots," Orr said.

Then there was the technical Orr was assessed with 3:49 to play.

"I'm disappointed in myself. It was a bad T. It came at the wrong time," he said.

The Skylights made just one of the two shots to cut the LC lead to 54-50 but it was another blow to a team struggling to find its momentum.

"It never felt like the lead was safe," Orr said. "We had an opportunity to extend the lead and we turned it over. We had another opportunity extend the lead and we missed the shot.

"The closer it got, the tighter we played. You have to have poise and confidence."

Cali Moscrip had 11 points – all in the first half, to lead the Warriors.
Hailey Turner added 10 points and
Jossilyn Blackman finished with nine rebounds. The Warriors finished with 13 turnovers, which resulted in 17 points for MSUN.
