CLEVELAND – In the first set of fall NAIA Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings, the Lewis-Clark State Warriors sit sixth nationally with 141 points. The Warriors rank the highest in the Frontier Conference.
The points tallied so far this school year come from the NAIA Cross Country National Championships. The Warriors saw a great deal of success at the meet with the men placing third overall for their highest team finish to date, earning 85 points. The women finished 18th as a team for 56 points.
"I am very proud of our cross country program, coaches and students for their great accomplishments this season," athletic director Brooke Henze said.
The Frontier Conference was one of three conferences to have two institutions in the top 10 with Rocky Mountain ranked 10th. The Cascade Collegiate Conference, which LC State will join next year, also had two schools in the top 10.
