LEWISTON, Idaho - The Lewis-Clark State men's tennis team made strides in their match against NCAA DIII Whitman College, winning two doubles matches before falling 7-2.
"With this match, we made a breakthrough with the doubles," coach Kai Fong said. "We are getting closer in the singles to make the same stride. It's just a matter of time."
Luca Menezes and Jackson Lee dominated in the top doubles spot, taking down their opponent 8-4. In No. 2 doubles, Alexandre d'Aboville and William Bruchard earned an 8-6 win.
In No. 1 singles, d'Aboville took his opponent to three sets after winning the first (2-6, 6-1, 10-8). Bruchard also forced three sets in the No. 2 spot, falling 6-2, 3-6, 10-4.
