LA GRANDE, Ore. –
Thomas Lampkin Jr. became the first Warrior to be named the Cascade Conference Red Lion Player of the Week this season after collecting seven hits at the College of Idaho. Lampkin finished his week yesterday with a 4-for-4 performance.
The senior out of Vancouver, Wash. totaled three doubles, two RBI and a run scored over the four-game set against the Yotes. On Sunday, Lampkin tied an LC single-game record with three stolen bases.
"Thomas played extraordinarily well this past weekend, both offensively and defensively," coach
Jake Taylor said. "He was a catalyst for us."
Lampkin currently leads the team with a .303 batting average and is a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases on the season. He also leads the Warriors with five doubles.
