LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State baseball team saw its seven-game winning streak snapped on Thursday when it dropped both ends of a doubleheader to the Corban Warriors by scores of 6-1 and 5-1. Errors plagued the Warriors in both games with LC giving up five unearned runs.
GAME ONE: Corban def. LCSC 6-1
After two quick outs in the top of the first,
Tyler Burch connected with
Kyle Callahan at first to pick off a runner and send the LC Warriors to the plate. A
Thomas Lampkin Jr. leadoff single was stranded to keep the game scoreless.

Corban continued to tack on runs in the fourth and fifth and led 5-0 after five.
Lampkin Jr. led off the home half of the sixth with a double to center and advanced to third on a ground out by
Zach Needham.
Darren Trainor sent a sacrifice fly to left to bring in Lampkin Jr. and get LC on the board.
Corban struck once more and took game one 6-1.
Lampkin Jr. led LC with two hits in the game. Trainor had the lone RBI.
GAME TWO: Corban def. LCSC 5-1
The Warriors faced the same struggles in game two, falling behind 5-0 after allowing seven hits and four errors through the first five frames.
Makana Victorine delivered at the plate with a solo blast in the bottom of the fifth, but the Warriors were unable to overcome the deficit and dropped game two 5-1.
"Well, we are going to practice tonight, practice tomorrow and regroup," coach
Jake Taylor said. "We've got to have a better effort than that."
The Warriors fall to 12-10-1 on the season. They host Oregon Tech this weekend in a four-game series at Harris Field.
