LEWISTON, Idaho – Former Lewis-Clark State baseball standout Tyler Burch has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies organization. The right-handed pitcher was a four-year Warrior and was named an All-American his junior year.

"I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to play professional baseball," Burch said. "This couldn't have been possible without my family, coaches and teammates continuously pushing me to be a better baseball player and person day in and day out. This is a dream come true."

After completing his Warrior career with a win in the first game of the 2019 Avista NAIA World Series, Burch etched his name in the LC records books. The East Wenatchee, Wash. native ranks fourth all-time in strikeouts (179), fifth in starts (33) and fifth in innings pitched (200.2). In 2019, he was named the NAIA West Co-Pitcher of the Year as well as All-NAIA West and a Gold Glove recipient.

In his junior season Burch led the Warriors with a 10-2 record and 2.87 ERA. He was named the NAIA West Pitcher of the Year and All-NAIA West. At the end of the season, Burch earned All-American Honorable Mention honors.
