LEWISTON, Idaho – Kevin Baker was named Cascade Collegiate Conference WVT Laboratory Men's Basketball Player of the Week after helping the No. 20 Warriors to a pair of victories over the weekend. The forward from Kent, Wash. was voted the MVP of The Clearwater River Casino and Lodge Classic.
 
In Friday's win against Providence (Mont.), Baker scored 20 points, grabbed five boards, and distributed two assists. He shot an impressive 10-for-11 from the free throw line and shot 50 percent from outside the arc.
 
The following night, Baker showed out and added a career-high 23 points and eight rebounds in the win against Montana Western. He was 4-for-5 from 3-point land which contributed to his .636 field goal percentage.
 
Through five games, the graduate transfer is averaging 17.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 56.3 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from 3.
 
The Warriors open up Cascade Conference play on Nov. 23 at Walla Walla, then head to Salem for a pair of non-conference matchups at a tournament hosted by Corban.
