KANSAS CITY, Mo. – LC State Men's Basketball excelled in the classroom once again with its fourth NABC Team Academic Excellence Award and an impressive 10 NABC Honors Court honorees.
Seniors
Grayson Hunt,
John Lustig and
Peyton Nordland were named to the Honors Court, along with
Brandon Suber,
Dallon Morgan,
Drew Mata,
Jamare' Childs,
Trevor Manning,
Dylan Skaife and
Josh Salguero.
"Excited for our team and these specific individuals to be recognized once again for their academic success," coach
Austin Johnson said. "We put a lot of effort and accountability into their work in the classroom. The results speak to the players' investment and willingness to compete in the details of everything we ask of them."
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The Warrior Men's Basketball team concluded the 2025-26 school year with a 3.69 grade point average. Every player eligible for Academic All-Cascade Conference earned that honor for a 100% success rate for the team. Lustig was voted a CSC Academic All-American as just the second player in program history to earn that honor.
