WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Warrior women (3-0) open the 2021-22 CCC season at Walla Walla on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. LC State is 8-1 overall against the Wolves, having lost just the first matchup in 1977. The Warriors did not face WWU again until 2007 and have won eight straight. The Warrior women last faced Walla Walla in 2019 and picked up a 65-48 victory.
LC will travel to Rocklin, Calif. for the William Jessup Tournament on Nov. 26 and 27 to face William Jessup (Calif.) and Pacific Union College (Calif.). The LC Warriors open with the hosting WJU Warriors on Friday at 5 p.m., and take on the Pioneers of PUC on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Heidi Sellmann currently leads the Warriors in scoring with a 13.3 points per game average. Sara Muehlhausen leads the defense with 11 boards per contest, and Maddie Holm is shooting a team-best 54.2 percent from the floor.
