NAIA STANDINGS
CLEVELAND – Lewis-Clark State College finished 15
th in the 2020-21 Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings with a total of 551.75 points earned throughout the school year. Eight of LC's 12 sports competed at the national level and track and field's Leon Menten won the men's javelin national title at outdoor nationals. LC State had the highest finish of any Cascade Conference institution.
"I am extremely proud of our student-athletes and programs for their successes, not only in competition but also in the classroom this year," Athletic Director Brooke Henze said.
The Warriors captured 239 points in the winter, led by a National-Runner Up finish by men's basketball. The Warrior women made the final site's Round of 16, and indoor track and field brought home 12 All-Americans.
LC earned 133.5 points for fall sports, with men's cross country placing eighth at nationals and the women taking 13
th. Spring sports brought in 179.25 points with baseball's third-place finish and men's outdoor track and field's eight-place mark. Women's outdoor track and field also placed in the top 50 to earn points.
The Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NAIA Championships. The NAIA Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup will start up again after the fall 2021 NAIA Championships.
