BASEBALL
Fourth-ranked LC State Baseball is currently boasting a 13-game winning streak. This is the second time the Warriors have had a 19-1 start to the season. LC will host the Corban University Warriors in a non-conference four-game set with doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday at Harris Field.
The LC Warriors are coming off a sweep of Eastern Oregon, led by another strong weekend from Sam Linscott. The senior launched three home runs, knocked in nine runs and had a 2.000 slugging percentage in Sunday’s twin bill, and was rewarded with both Cascade Conference and NAIA National Player of the Week honors.
The Warriors hold a 104-11 record in the series with Corban and have won the last 16 meetings, including last season’s Cascade Conference Championship game. LC took on Corban 10 times last season, with the largest margin of victory being 22-0 on April 9, and outscored the opposing Warriors 102-28.
Tickets are on sale now at lcwarriors.com/tickets. Inland Cellular is the sponsor for all games this weekend.
