LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State Athletics will honor longtime statistician and historian Denny Grubb on March 26 when the press box at Harris Field is dedicated in his honor. The dedicating of the Denny Grubb Press Box will take place in between games of the baseball doubleheader against UBC.
"Denny is very deserving of this honor'" Athletic Director Brooke Henze said. "He has dedicated so much of his life to LC State Athletics and NAIA Baseball as a whole. It is very fitting that the press box be dedicated in his honor to commemorate his contributions to the history of the Warriors."
Grubb, who became the first LC State Athletics Hall of Fame's first member selected under the category of "Special Contributor," began serving LCSC in 1977 and has practically never stopped. 2022 marks his 45
th year at LC archiving and keeping stats. Grubb has covered over 2,500 Warrior home athletic events and has served as the official scorer and statistician for the NAIA World Series since 1984.
The majority of Grubb's work has been done on a volunteer basis. All of the history and records on the LC State website were his doing prior to 2010, and he assists in record keeping in present day.
