BASEBALL
Fourth-ranked LC State Baseball is in Caldwell this weekend for a four-game non-conference set with the College of Idaho Yotes. The Warriors swept C of I last season with the largest margin of victory being 21-2 in the first meeting of the year.
The Warriors are off to the best start in program history with a record of 23-1. LC has won 17 straight since returning home from the trip to Arizona. This weekend will be the Warriors’ first games on the road since the season-opening swing.
Matt James had the hot bat for LC over the weekend with three home runs. In Sunday’s pair of wins, the senior’s big flies were both game-winners. Warrior pitching combined for 42 strikeouts in 34 innings and allowed just four earned runs.
