KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lewis-Clark State College freshman golfer Kristof Panke added more accolades to his outstanding season on Wednesday when he was named to the third team of the 2022 NAIA Men's Golf All-America teams.
 
Panke was one of 45 golfers honored by the NAIA with 15 players each on the first, second and third teams.
 
"I'm very proud of Kristof and the year he was able to have," LC State coach Brady Campbell said. "I've had All-Americans before but never a freshman. From the first week he was on campus I knew this was a possibility and to see him work hard and get it is awesome."
 
Panke was one of 156 golfers who qualified for the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships last week in Silvis, Ill., and helped the Warrior golf team to a No. 13 ranking in the NAIA Coaches Poll.
 
Panke also was named to the NAIA PING All-West Region team, which is sponsored by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The PING all-region teams honor NAIA players from four regions – north, south, west and central.
 
Prior to nationals, Panke was ranked No. 41 in NAIA scoring average by Golfstat at 73.17 strokes per round. He led the Warriors in conference play with a 72.8 scoring average, which earned him a share of the conference's Player of the Year honors.
 
"I think all of the accolades he has received this year really shows the type of kid he is," Campbell said.
