NORMAN, Okla. – Two Lewis-Clark State men's golfers earned Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors for the 2025-26 academic year, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Monday.
 
Luke West repeated with the honor, while Kye Krall earned the first of his career.
 
"Extremely proud of these guys for being recognized for their hard work in the classroom," coach Zach Anderson said. "Academic success will always be a main pillar of our program."
 
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their school.
 
West ended his junior season with a 3.65 GPA while studying business administration and earned All-Cascade Conference honors for the first time in his career. He averaged a score of 72.4 throughout CCC play to rank seventh in the conference and earned his first individual victory with medalist honors at the Tournament of Knights. West was voted the CCC Men's Golfer of the Week twice.
 
Krall capped a breakout senior season with his first academic honor from the GCAA. He earned his first collegiate win at The Warrior Spring Classic and was the top LC State finisher at the national tournament. He carded an even-par round in the final 18 holes of his collegiate career and averaged a score of 74.7 throughout the season. Krall graduated with a degree in business with a 3.65 grade point average.
