RESULTS
LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Men's Golf stunned the Cascade Conference on Wednesday when the Warriors became the first team to defeat perennial powerhouse No. 16 British Columbia to win the CCC Championship Tournament title. The Warriors, who led from start to finish, were led by freshman
Andrea Artusini who captured the individual title, and the win punched LC State's ticket to the national tournament for the first time since 2017. Coach

Adam Lovatt and
Luke West earned All-Cascade Conference honors.
LC State won its first Cascade Conference title in program history and is the first team to defeat UBC in any CCC event, regular or postseason. The Warriors won the conference championship by four strokes with an 8-under total in the final round. LC State finished the three-round tournament with a 12-under-par score of 852.
"A historic day for our program. I am so blessed to be a part of this group of young men," Anderson said. "The work from day one of fall 2025 led to this moment and seeing the way we closed it out was nothing short of special. Excited and honored to get to continue the season a few more weeks with these fellas. So proud of each and every one of them. Andrea was an absolute rock today. When pressure gets high he thrives. Cascade Conference Champion as a freshman. Sky is the limit for him."
Artusini shot the second-best round of the tournament to jump into the top spot in the final round. He carded a 5-under, 67, to win by one stroke with a three-day total of 7-under. The freshman was on fire with four birdies and an eagle.
Fellow first-year Lovatt also had a standout tournament to tie for third at 4-under. He led the Warriors heading into the final day and was the last LC State player on the course to clinch the victory. He birdied hole 18 to end the tournament as the Warriors celebrated on the green. The freshman carded three birdies and an eagle in his final 18 holes.
West had his best round of the week with a 2-under, 70, to move up four spots to a tie for eighth place. He finished 1-over in the tournament with four birdies and an eagle in his final round.
Senior
Sondre Andresen was one stroke back in a tie for 10
th after an even-par final 18 holes.
Kye Krall was 2-over on the day to finish tied for 16
th at 4-over.
Anderson was voted the CCC Coach of the Year for the third time in his career. The fourth-year head coach led the Warrior men to their first conference tournament title and a season filled with wins.
Lovatt finished fourth in the conference in scoring average at 71.8 and West was seventh at 72.4. Both were tabbed All-Cascade Conference.
LC State accomplished its impressive feat on its home course, the Lewiston Golf and Country Club. The LC Valley community showed up in droves to support the hometown team.

"Thank you also to all the supporters in the Valley that came out to cheer on our student-athletes. LC State Golf is nothing without all of those names above. Thank you."

The Warriors punched their ticket to the 2026 NAIA Men's Golf Championship and will compete at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., May 12-15.
