RESULTS
LEWISTON, Idaho - LC State Men's Golf, receiving votes in the national poll, completed the first round of play at the 2026 Cascade Conference Golf Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, on Monday at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club. The Warriors shot even-par in round one to take a five-stroke lead over the No. 16 University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. Freshmen
Adam Lovatt and
Andrea Artusini lead the tournament individually in first and second place, respectively.

"Nice to end day one with the lead. Lots of golf to go but excited for this opportunity," coach
Zach Anderson said. "The men are resilient which is required on a course that is playing more difficult than we are used to."

Standout freshman Lovatt had a stellar back nine, which included an eagle on par-5 hole 18. He shot a 3-under, 69, in round one, which has him alone in first place.

Artusini currently sits in second place after a 2-under, 70, in round one. The freshman also had a very impressive back nine through his first 18 holes and holds a one-stroke lead on the third-place golfers.

Kye Krall ended round one, 1-over, 73. The senior had a consistent round that has him in a three-way tie for 10
th.

Luke West shot 4-over, 76, to start his tournament to sit in a five-way tie for 20th place. The junior's round included three birdies.

Sondre Andresen finished day one in a tie for 25th place after he shot 5-over, 77.

UP NEXT
The Warriors are back in action for day two of the Cascade Conference Golf Championships on Tuesday. Teams will tee off at 8:30 a.m. at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club.
