LEWISTON, Idaho – LC State Men's Golf made history at the 2026 Cascade Conference Golf Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, with its victory and was rewarded with Cascade Conference Under Armour Team of the Week.
The Warriors captured the program's first CCC tournament title on Wednesday at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club and snapped No. 16 British Columbia's dominant win streak in the process. LC State led the tournament from start to finish and completed the three rounds with a 12-under-par, 852 to win by four strokes.
The win marks the first time any CCC program has defeated UBC in conference play since the Thunderbirds joined the group.
Freshman
Andrea Artusini highlighted the tournament with medalist honors. He carded a 5-under, 67, in the final round to finish the week 7-under. Fellow first-year
Adam Lovatt tied for third at 4-under,
Luke West shot 2-under to finish tied for eighth,
Sondre Andresen tied for 10
th and
Kye Krall tied for 16
th to put all five Warriors in the top 20.
LC State head coach
Zach Anderson was voted the CCC Men's Golf Coach of the Year in the process and West and Lovatt earned All-CCC honors.
The victory also secured the program's first NAIA Men's Golf National Championship appearance as a team since 2017.
