GOLF

Due to snow in Walla Walla, the men’s portion of the Walla Walla Invitational has been canceled. The Cascade Conference requires men’s tournaments to be 36 holes which is not possible due to the course conditions. The CCC requires 18 holes for a women’s tournament, so the women’s side of the tournament will be reevaluated on Tuesday. 

TRACK & FIELD

No. 7 Warrior Track and Field is back in Spokane this weekend for the Whitworth Peace meet on Friday. LC State has two automatic qualifiers for nationals so far with London Kirk in the 400m and Madigan Kelly in the 100m hurdles. 

The Warriors have hit five provisional standards, with three in combined events and two in the 400m hurdles. Christian Bothwell and Justin Krabbenhoft are both in the top six in the NAIA in the decathlon and Sara Hathaway ranks eighth in the heptathlon. Ashley Britt and Ike Hopper are both ranked in the top 10 in the NAIA in the 400m hurdles. 

BASEBALL

With the regular-season home slate in the rearview, the Warriors head to Caldwell for a four-game Cascade Conference set with the College of Idaho. 

LC State has struggled at the plate as of late and sits fifth in the CCC standings. C of I is 5-3 in conference play, good for third in the standings.

The Warriors swept the Yotes at Harris Field in February during non-conference play. Two of the top offenses in the CCC combined for 76 runs with LC outscoring the in-state rival 47-29 in the four games. Dominic Signorelli was voted the conference Player of the Week after batting .600 with seven RBI in the first three games of the series. He slugged 1.300 with two home runs during the voting period, then added three more hits including another home run in the series finale.
