WOMEN'S TENNIS

The Warrior women take on a pair of NCAA Division I opponents this week in Idaho and Montana State. LC State heads to Moscow on Wednesday to face the Vandals before hosting the Bobcats on Saturday. 

The LC State women faced DI Boise State over the weekend in a pair of matches and fell 7-0 in each. The Warriors took on Montana State last year in Boise and dropped the contest 4-1. LC has not played Idaho since 2019.

MEN'S TENNIS

LC State Men’s Tennis has its home winning streak snapped over the weekend with losses to DI Montana and Idaho State. The Warriors enter the weekend with a 7-6 record and will compete against NAIA programs this weekend in San Antonio. 

The Warriors will face Friends (Kan.) on Thursday, Bethel (Kan.) on Friday and No. 23 Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) on Saturday. The matches will be played at OLLU. LC State is 7-2 against non-DI competition this season and 1-2 against NAIA schools.

BASEBALL

After a tough weekend on the road, LC State Baseball opens Cascade Conference play on Friday against Corban. The two Warrior teams will square off in a four-game CCC series with doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.

LC State is 78-10 against Corban dating back to 2009 and won the 2023 series 3-1. The Warriors split the last series in Salem 2-2 back in 2022. The most recent meeting resulted in a 14-5 victory for LC State in Lewiston. 

Corban enters the weekend with a 5-16 record after dropping its series with Oregon Tech 3-1. The Corban Warriors split with Eastern Oregon. Corban leads the conference in runners picked off (7). Hayden Wilson leads the CCC in on-base percentage (.532)

The LC State Warriors lead the CCC in slugging percentage (.490) and opposing batting average (.243). Dominic Signorelli is tied for the Cascade Conference lead in home runs (8) and Drake George is second in ERA (2.49).

MEN'S BASKETBALL

The LC State Men’s Basketball team is Butte, Mont., bound for the 2024 NAIA Men’s Basketball First and Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy, and will face Hope International (Calif.) on Friday at 4 p.m. PT. The winner of the contest will face the winner of No. 8 Montana Tech and Wayland Baptist (Texas) in Saturday’s NAIA Second Round matchup.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

No. 11 LC State Women’s Basketball will begin its national tournament at home on Friday in the 2024 NAIA Women’s Basketball First and Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy, and will face Brewton-Parker (Ga.) on Friday at 5:30 p.m. The winner of the contest will face the winner of The Master’s (Calif.) and Jamestown (N.D.) in Saturday’s NAIA Second Round matchup.

GOLF

Warrior Golf is back at it after a busy opening week. After opening the spring season at the RMC Intercollegiate in Nevada, No. 23 LC State earned a 50-stroke win at the Puget Sound Invitational just a few days later. Bryden Brown won the first tournament of his career and was voted the CCC Golfer of the Week for the second time this season.

LC State keeps pushing ahead with the Willamette Valley Cup this weekend in Salem. The two-day tournament begins on Saturday. The tournament is the final regular-season event aside from LC State’s home tournament April 15-16 at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club.

TRACK & FIELD

LC State Track and Field begins its outdoor season on Saturday at the Sam Adams Classic hosted by Whitworth. The Warriors saw record-breaking success during the indoor season with 15 All-Americans including 800m NAIA National Champion Carter Gordon. 

The Sam Adams Classic will be one of five meets hosted by Whitworth that LC State is scheduled to attend. The Warriors opened the 2023 outdoor season at the event last year with four school records and four national-qualifying marks.
