AUSTIN, Texas – Women's Basketball standout Callie Stevens made history once again as the first LC State Women's Basketball player to be named to the Academic All-America® Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, with a second-team nod. The senior adds the accolade to her already storied career that concluded in March.

Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards.

"Another big congratulations to Callie on her tremendous work in the classroom and on the court," Head Coach Caelyn Orlandi said. "She has excelled in multiple endeavors during her time as a Warrior and I am, and always will be, proud of her."

Stevens became the first women's basketball player in Cascade Conference history to be named the CCC Player of the Year three times. She is the fourth three-time NAIA All-American for Warrior Women's Basketball after being voted a Second-Team All-American this season. The Puyallup, Wash., native led LC State in minutes per game (29.3), field goals made (193), 3-pointer made (90), free throws made (77), points scored (553) and points per game (17.3).

The guard was voted the CCC Player of the Week four times this season and 11 times in her career. She also earned Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Cascade Conference honors for the third consecutive year.

Stevens maintains a 3.69 grade point average as a Business Informatics major. She serves on the LC State Association of Student-Athletes as the vice president and sits on the Cascade Conference Association of Student-Athletes. Stevens has interned in LC State's sports information office for two years and represented the NAIA as a student-athlete representative at the 2023 CSC Unite convention in Orlando.
