RESULTS 

EUGENE, Ore. – The Warriors battled rain and wet conditions on Friday to the UO Twilight at Hayward Field in Eugene. Despite challenges from Mother Nature, LC State Track and Field produced new national qualifiers and multiple personal-best marks.  

Griffen Parsells, Brycen Brown and Ike Hopper highlighted the afternoon with their first national marks in their events this season.  

"Flat out horrible conditions," Head Coach Mike Collins said. "Water all over the track and just miserable. Despite that, we had a few good performances. Brycen Brown stepped up with a PR and qualifying time for nationals. Griffen hit the standard in the 800m with an outstanding race. We will get better weather tomorrow and see what happens." 

THE MEN 

Griffen Parsells made a statement in the 800m with the third-best time ever by a Warrior and fifth-best time in the NAIA this season. He placed third in the open event with a time of 1:50.97. Kobe Wessels was 13th (1:55.09) in the open and Carter Gordon placed sixth (1:53.99) in the elite performance window. 

Brycen Brown ran the second-fastest 3,000m steeplechase ever by a Warrior to hit the B standard for outdoor nationals. The fifth-year senior placed ninth with a time of 9:23.68 in the elite performance window. 

Senior Ike Hopper hit the B standard to win the 400m hurdles (54.06). He was third in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.09. 

The sophomore duo of Jedidiah Barnaby and Jordan Castillo were in action in the 100m dash. Barnaby placed 12th (10.91) and Castillo ran a PR of 10.94, third-best by a Warrior, to finish 14th. 

Sam Weller threw a career-best distance of 42.02m in the hammer to finish eighth. Tanner Beltz-Childs was ninth (38.14m). Weller went on to take sixth in the shot put (13.99m). 

Conner May ran a time of 4:04.92 to place 19th in the 1,500m and London Kirk was fifth in the 400m (48.59). Trenton Johnson was third in the triple jump (13.97m). 

THE WOMEN 

Madigan Kelly ran an A-standard time of 14.05 in the 100m hurdles to place second in the field. She was fifth in the 400m hurdles (1:04.52) and Sara Hathaway was eighth (1:05.83). 

In jumps, Sydnie Zywina cleared the B standard in the triple jump to placed second at a mark of 11.59m. She was fifth in the long jump (5.31m). Jennah Carpenter also hit a provisional mark in the high jump with a clearance of 1.66m. 

Senior Brooklyn Shell led a trio of Warrior women in the 1,500m with a career-best time of 4:41.68, She placed 15th in the field with Grace Tiegs in 18th (4:47.76) and Aubree Williams in 19th (4:49.07). Geraldin Correa was sixth in the 800m (2:19.45). 

Lewiston native Emily Collins clocked in at 58.95 to finish sixth in the 400m. Karissa Lindner placed seventh in the 100m (12.40) and ninth in the 200m (26.13). Anika Grogan was 10th in the 100m (12.68) and sixth in the 200m (25.60). 

Haylee Appleford placed eighth in the shot put (11.55m) and seventh in the discus (38.50m). Grace Osborne was 11th int he shot put (10.50m).
