WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
No. 24 LC State Women’s Basketball (20-4, 14-4) takes its six-game winning streak into the biggest weekend of the regular season with major Cascade Conference Tournament implications on the line. The Warriors host No. 23 Oregon Tech (19-4, 15-2) and No. 4 Southern Oregon (23-0, 17-0) in the final home games of the regular season. LC State will host Senior Night on Saturday at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the P1FCU Activity Center to honor Ellie Sander, Tessa Karlberg and Mataya Green.

The Warriors are 8-3 against Oregon Tech since 2004 but fell to the Owls 80-65 in Klamath Falls earlier this season. Tatum Brager led the Warriors with 14 points in the contest and Mataya Green grabbed eight rebounds. OIT’s Tatum Schmerbach led the contest with a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double.
The Owls lead the conference in rebounding (46.8) and rebounding margin (13.2).
LC State is 8-7 against SOU since 2012 but has lost the last three meetings. The Warriors fell 89-80 in Ashland despite a career-high 36 points from Ellie Sander. Clara Robbins led the Raiders with 18 points and both Meghan McIntyre and Morgan Baird had 10 assists.
Southern Oregon leads the CCC in scoring offense (77.8), scoring defense (53.8), scoring margin (24.0), field goal percentage (.484), field goal percentage defense (.347), 3-point percentage (.397), rebounding defense (33.0) and assist/turnover ratio (1.4). Baird is third in the conference in scoring (14.9) and leads in field goal percentage (.585). Bridgette McIntyre leads the conference in 3-point percentage (.466) and Mallory Williams is second (.462).
The Warrior women lead the Cascade in blocks per game (5.1), assists per game (17.8), steals per game (13.1) and turnover margin (7.67). Darian Herring leads the NAIA in total blocks this season with 68 and is 10 off the single season record at LC State. She is second in field goal percentage (.573) with Sander in third (.552) and Green in fourth (.537). Sander leads the CCC in steals (74).
